No. The PDF is opened from your device and rendered by the PDF engine running in your browser tab. No copy is sent anywhere.
This is a reader, not an editor. To rearrange or extract pages use Split PDF or Merge PDF, and to shrink the file use the PDF Compressor.
Password-protected files need to be unlocked first, and a file that fails to open is often damaged rather than unusual. Try opening it in the app that produced it and re-saving.
Only if the scan has been through OCR. A photographed page with no text layer contains pictures of letters, which search cannot read.
