Image Cropper
Crop images freely or to a fixed aspect ratio for social platforms.
About Image Cropper
Cut an image down to the part that matters. Drag a selection anywhere on the picture, or lock it to a ratio — square for a profile photo, 16:9 for a video thumbnail, 9:16 for a story. The crop box snaps to the ratio you pick so the export is exactly the shape the platform expects, and the whole thing happens in your browser.

Frequently asked questions
Everything people ask about the Image Cropper.
Square (1:1) at 1080×1080 works for a standard feed post, 4:5 for a portrait post, and 9:16 at 1080×1920 for stories and reels. The presets set these ratios for you.
The pixels you keep are untouched — cropping only removes area. If you export to JPG or WebP there is a normal re-encode, so choose PNG if you want a byte-exact copy of the cropped region.
Crop to the right shape here, then run the result through the Image Resizer to land on exact dimensions. That two-step approach avoids stretching.
Press Reset to restore the selection to the full image. Your original file is never modified — the crop only affects what gets downloaded.
Yes, completely. There is no account to create, no trial that expires, no watermark on the output and no feature held back behind a paywall. The site is supported by unobtrusive advertising, not by charging you.
No. Image Cropper runs entirely inside your browser, so your files never leaves your device. You can confirm this by opening your browser's network tab — there is no upload request.

Once the page has loaded, yes. All processing is local, so you can carry on working if your connection drops.
Any current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari or Opera, on desktop and mobile. If something behaves oddly, updating your browser resolves it in almost every case.
There is no server-side limit because nothing is uploaded. Files up to about 50 MB are comfortable on a typical device; beyond that, processing speed depends on your machine's memory.
Yes. Whatever you produce here is yours — use it in client work, products, packaging or publications. There is no watermark, no licence to accept and no attribution required.
No. There is nothing to keep: your data is never transmitted, and it is cleared from memory as soon as you close or reload the page.
